In unserem LEADER-Projekt „Vorzeigeregion 2030 Stadt_Villach_Umland“ arbeiten wir eng zusammen, um eine Vision für das Jahr 2030 zu entwickeln und die Region über die Gemeindegrenzen hinaus nachhaltig zu stärken. Alle Bürger:innen der Region sind eingeladen, sich aktiv einzubringen, um die zukünftige Ausrichtung der Region mitzugestalten. In verschiedenen Veranstaltungsformaten und Dialogprozessen sollen Perspektiven, Bedürfnisse und Ideen der Bevölkerung berücksichtigt werden. Wir starten im Oktober mit unserem ersten Regionsgespräch zum Thema „Soziale Region und Bildungsraum“ Diskutiert mit uns über aktuelle und zukünftige Themen der sozialen Region und der Bildungsregion Villach-Umland im Zuge des integrierten Regionalentwicklungsprozesses (IREP_VU).
Gemeinsam wollen wir der Frage nachgehen: Wie könnte unsere Region von morgen aussehen?

Air reconnaissance exercise of the Austrian Air Force in Carinthia

The air reconnaissance squadron of the Air Support Wing of the Austrian Armed Forces will exercise in the Rosental area from 9 to 13 October 2023. A total of around 70 soldiers with two Agusta Bell "AB 212" and Bell "OH-58 Kiowa" helicopters and one Pilatus Porta "PC6" fixed-wing aircraft will be in action during the air reconnaissance exercise. The aim of the exercise is to train the tasks and procedures in the protection mode of operation in order to be able to fulfil the constitutional mandate in case of emergency.
The Air Reconnaissance Squadron is part of the Air Support Wing of the Austrian Air Force and is based at the Brumowski Air Base in Langenlebarn/Lower Austria. The air support squadron consists of a medium transport helicopter squadron (S-70 "Black Hawk"), a multi-purpose transport helicopter squadron (OH-58 "Kiowa") as well as a fixed wing squadron (PC-6 "Turbo Porter"), an air reconnaissance squadron and the ground organisation necessary for flight operations.
Take-off and landing will take place at Glainach airfield (military training area). On three days (Tue, Wed and Thu), night flights until 11 p.m. are also planned from Ferlach airfield.

This time 80 international women artists, craftswomen and designers will be showing their works of high quality from applied art fields (e.g..: Ceramics, Textile Design, jewellery and wood and sculpture).
Besides the art, one also has the opportunity to buy plants for garden design, as well as herbs.

Family Egger family from Sternberg will present their organic wines. the Stiegerhof Agricultural College with delicacies from Carinthia.
The opening will take place on Saturday at 2 p.m. by the mayor of Rosegg Franz Richau.
